Zayn Malik’s sister has opened up about her brother’s relationship with Little Mix star, Perrie Edwards.

Doniya Malik -who is a dead ringer for Zayn’s 'X Factor' pal Cher Lloyd - was asked about their romance during a chat with the 'BBC Asian Network', where she revealed she was “very happy” with Perrie becoming her sister-in-law.

The 22-year old confessed: “It's pretty cool. Perrie's a really nice girl, she's really friendly, very easy to get on with, down-to-earth, so I'd say just how it is with my sisters."

She did not comment on reports that the former One Direction star and Edwards may have already tied the knot, but did reveal that when they were growing up, Zayn was “quite spoilt”.

Doniya - who is a fashion blogger - explained: “Because me and Zayn are very close in age, we've grown up together.

“Actually he bosses me around, he acts like a big protective brother which is quite nice at times.”

She concluded: “He was quite spoilt growing up, but I'd say I was actually more spoilt than Zayn because I was the first grandchild."
