Jeremy McConnell has decided to be the bigger man since leaving the Celebrity Big Brother house, and apologise to Sam Reece for getting with his girlfriend Stephanie Davis.

Well, kind of.

Appearing on This Morning, the Irish hottie admitted he was a little shocked at the public's reaction to him and Steph, but won't take all of the blame.

"The Steph thing, we were going off the crowd reaction. It takes 2 to tango, I felt I contributed to it as well," he told Phil and Holly.

During their time in the house they even went so far as saying 'I love you' to each other, despite one of them being in a relationship.

"I meant everything I said in there. I always follow my heart. I read some stuff about a showmance. I just went with my heart, I stand by that," Jez said.

"To Sam, I’m sorry the way it worked out, but…

"When you’re in that confided space, love is a strange word. It’s an emotion I felt at the time. She confided in me a lot," he added.

As for what he thinks needs to happen now?

He said: "The stuff with her boyfriend, that has to be addressed. If you go single, take a few weeks to go by yourself."

Ooh, cryptic.
