From Ann Widdecombe To Farrah Abraham: 9 Of The Most Controversial Celebrity Big Brother Housemates Ever
That's a lot of opinions that we're not sure you should share you guys...
The 2018 series of Celebrity Big Brother has already started with some major drama, from views of gay marriage and the Harvey Weinstein case to mis-gendering a transgender housemate. And that was just one person. The controversial characters are there to shock, and shock they have.
But as mega CBB fans, we’re no stranger to controversy because tbh, these group of housemates aren’t the first and the certainly won’t be the last of drama-stirring tenants…
CHECK OUT ALL THE FACTS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT DAPPER LAUGHS...
1. Ann Widdecombe
Since entering the 2018 CBB house Ann has rubbed the majority of her housemates up the wrong way. She called India Sinclair ‘he’ after talking about her transition, revealed she had voted against gay marriage and announced that the women who accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault and harassment ‘had a choice’ in the matter. Not ideal for the whole power of women theme eh?
2. Dapper Laughs
CBB fans were shocked when it was announced that Dapper Laughs was set to enter the house in the year of the show celebrating women. In 2014 he made a joke, during a show that a female fan was ‘gagging for rape’. Although in the house he maintains it was said by her friend first and therefore a joke, he also commented that fellow housemate and Love Island star Jonny Mitchell would be ‘hanging out the back’ of Jess within a few weeks. Grim.
3. Farrah Abraham
After the Teen Mom star made her own sex tape and announced she was becoming a porn star, CBB snapped Farrah up for one of the 2016 shows. During her time in the house she had major beef with practically everyone from Bobby Davro to James Hill. And her fights with Natasha Hamilton often left the Atomic Kitten singer in tears and featured some pretty colourful language.
4. Stephen Bear
After watching Bear on Ex On The Beach viewers couldn’t wait to see him cause some drams in the house and that he did. But it was his relationship with Chloe Khan that caused the most contro of the whole year. While still with EOTB Lillie Lexie Gregg, he started a VERY sexual thang with the web cam girl and the public cringed as Lillie went into the house to confront him. OUCH.
5. Tila Tequila
Porn star Tila wasn’t exactly going to be a shy wallflower when she entered the series in 2015 but viewers barely saw her as she was asked to leave the house after only a few days. Pictures of Tila posing in Nazi themed pictures had emerged and she was gone.
6. Perez Hilton
In possibly one of the hardest to watch series of the show, Perez stopped at nothing to try and offend his fellow housemates. Apart from making it his mission to wind up Katie Hopkins, he declared that taking part on CBB was “worse than having AIDS” and threatened Calum Best by saying he would “thrust” his “huge d*ck” into him. That was a tough time.
7. Kim Woodburn
We were quite excited when one half of cleaning duo Kim and Aggie announced she was going into the house. We won’t bore you with the obvious clean house joke babes, don’t worry. But what came after her entrance was a thing of both dreams and nightmares. Although she gave us memes for days with her iconic line “Don’t you start with me, lovie,” she had screaming rows with Nicola Maclean calling her a “little b*tch”, fought with numerous housemates, and bullied Chloe Ferry on their first night in the house.
8. Sarah Harding
In the past, Sarah had been plagued with rumours of fights with Cheryl Tweedy and an alcohol problem that sent her to rehab. So when she appeared on the show she announced that she wanted to change the public image of herself and that she was actually quite a boring person. Well, boring she ain’t. After screaming matches with Jemma Lucy and Paul Danan and some pretty erratic behaviour after the alcohol had been served, she started a romance with The Bachelorette’s Chad Johnson, admitting she had a boyfriend on the outside. Cue love spats and some pretty steamy bedroom activity. We’re tired just remembering it. EYE ROLL.
9. Winston McKenzie
The former UKIP spokesperson was always set to controversial viewing in the house but he sparked outrage when he was asked about how he would handle a gay person living in the house with him. He said: “I could cope with a homosexual in the house - I guess I’ll just have to and with my back against a brick wall all the time.” He also aired his views that gay couples should not be allowed to have children after it was revealed he’s once said that gay couples adopting was like ‘child abuse’.
