Who Is Celebrity Big Brother 2017's Karthik Nagesan? Everything You Need To Know!
Does this face look familiar? Here's why.
Roll up for a Celebrity Big Brother wildcard - who, up until Dawn Ward pulled out at the last minute - had absolutely no intention of being the life, soul, and quite frankly eyebrows of Summer 2017.
But who is Karthik Nagesan and where have we seen him before? From his ambition to become Prime Minister to his admiration of an Ancient Greek historical figure, here is everything we know about him so far.
Who is he?
The 33-year-old is an entrepeneur who is best known for starring on the 2016 season of The Apprentice. He didn't go on to win the £250,000 grant from Lord Sugar but it's safe to say he did win the hearts and minds of viewers nationwide. And that's surely the real prize up for grabs.
A slightly unfortunate fact about Karthik is that he was fired by Lord Sugar for getting one of the worst results in a task ever. While his competitor sold £40k worth of product, Karthik lagged behind with just £188.
What does he get up to nowadays?
Karthik had big plans to launch his own range of personalised products after his stint on the BBC series, but so far isn't quite the "billionaire" he once hoped to be. Still, after his time on The Apprentice came to an end, Karthik has been basking in the glory of his celeb status.
"I mean, I never expected it to take off this way,” he said. "And especially within the Asian community. I mean, I went to Leicester on Divali and I’m like Brad Pitt, I’m like a Bollywood star or a Hollywood star! Stopped everywhere, a radio station wants to speak to me, photographs on the road, selfies. It was great."
What else is he known for?
His monobrow, for one. Karthik proved he was a man above the crowd after revealing he refuses to tweeze, wax, or epilate it into submission: "If I wanted to be like everyone else, I’d have waxed my monobrow," he pointed out. Can't argue with that.
What can we expect from him in the house?
Karthik's interest in politics suggests he's a man who might want to rule the roost in the house. He openly admires the "strategy" and "tact" behind the success of Alexander The Great and thinks of himself as being a literal "human magnet."
It will definitely be interesting to see if the other housemates agree on that one.
Celebrity Big Brother continues at 9pm on Channel 5
