22-year-old Chace Crawford is the star of hit US teen drama Gossip Girl. Having been linked with a string of beauties including co-star Blake Lively, American Idol winner Carrie Underwood and The Hills' Whitney Port, we invited him in to MTV Towers to see if the gossip really is true... Laura: 'Now Chace youre a good looking guy. How are you coping with the attention from the ladies?' Chace Crawford: You know, they feel like they know you. A lot of the time they just want a hug, Im like alright, come here Ill give you a hug. L:'Anything crazy ever happened to you with a fan?' CC:I guess it really hit us once when we were shooting on the Upper East Side, walking out of our trailers, me and Ed. It was like Friday at 3.30, all the high schools had just got out. They were like can we have your pants and like your tie and they wanted my Diet Coke. I was like Im drinking it, you can have it after, So I mean its kinda wild cos we couldnt even walk. L: 'So tell me a little bit about Nate now who you play. Is he based on anyone? Any past of yourself in Nate at all? Even a little bit? ' CC: You know, hes not too crazy of a character. Obviously, aspects of your personality come out in the character and everything. I mean I can relate to the high school stuff and anxiety with your parents. Thats the good thing about the show. The scenarios are essentially the same but the reality is different L: ' Any on-set romances that maybe going on off set as well?' CC: Where did you hear that? Ive never heard that one before L: 'Oh someone, a friend told me.' CC: No, for some reason they want our private lives to be like the show. Its a thing with the press, they make up stuff now L: ' So what type of music do you like?' CC: I like all sorts of stuff. Eds got me into a couple of great bands like The Kooks, I love The Stereophonics , Kelly Jones. Oasis has been a long time favourite. My English friend from Brighton got me into them and I like some of the old stuff, a little Cure, Queen, Tom Petty, Nirvana. L: 'Any rivalry between the guys because we didnt know who was going to be the main guy in the show or who the ladies fancied the most and I think thats kind of you? Any rivalry between the others? ' CC :We are all best friends. Im like really close with Leighton, close with Blake and Pen and everybody. Im close with Ed obviously as we are living together. L:' Is that hard though when youre like working with somebody and living with them?' CC: Its not, I thought it might be interesting but our schedules are so lopsided that we work on different days and do different things and do our own thing so we come together and go shoot some pool. L: 'So in the future of gossip girl, who would you like to see Nate end up with? ' CC: I think hes made out with everyone and their dog on the show now. Maybe Lilly Vanderwood. He should just be with everybody, just to be sure!
