Stars Compete for Captain America Role

According to various reports Chace Crawford will try out for the role as well as Cloverfield star Mike Vogel.

 

TV actors Michael Cassidy (The OC) and Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights) have also been lined up as possible candidates to play the superhero.

 

The First Avenger: Captain America is being directed by Joe Johnston who recently helmed the remake of The Wolfman.

 

The movie will hit cinemas in July 2011 with the star reportedly signing on for a nine film deal!
