(Unknown) Band With Violinist On '120 Minutes' Earlier...?  —  Sun, 26/08/2007 - 01:41

Greetings all.

Earlier i saw a band i liked quite a bit on the show '120 minutes' (tonight's epsiode - 26th August), but at the end of the song, the band name was not displayed....great ploy there as i would like to explore this band's music, and yet have no means to do so owing to the fact that i have no clue as to their name.

Does anybody know this band's name? They had a vocalist, guitarist, drummer, bassist and a violinist. The singer went on quite a bit i think about wind, or windows....if that helps any.

Anyway, i liked the band so much that in order to find their name i signed up here.

Thanks a lot, hope somebody can help.

              Violinist? That's gotta be Korpiklaani, I think the song is "Tervaskanto".

                Hmmm. No, it isn't them - thanks though.

                This band had a violinist; the drummer was just hitting his snare one-handed on the quarter note throughout, keeping time, there was a violinist too - very significant.

                The video was just them playing in a room, like it was live (though the music wasn't live obviously), and the singer reminded me very much of Ian Curtis - deep voice, introverted style; the band didn't really move - they were about the music it seems, and not 'looking cool'.

                They had a violinist....

                    pretty certain the band was le neon and the song could have been either drone or s.p.a.c.e.
