Holy shit! It's 1994 again!  —  Wed, 12/09/2007 - 08:53

Blur Vs Oasis

It used to be Oasis for me but I think it has to be Blur these days. Oasis did write fantastic songs in their day and are obviously better for a bit of a sing-a-long but Blur are clearly the better musicians, willing to experiment and push boundaries in ways Oasis never would/could.

Ironicly, Blur(especially Damon) are much better Manunians than Oasis. Oasis left as soon as they could and havent done anything for the city since they did. While blur on the other hand always seemed to relish coming to town and lets not forget that Albarn(admittedly not with Blur)'s done at least 2 good things for Manchester in the past two years.

Also, this whole feud thins. Im almost embarassed by some of the things the Gallaghers said about the band and i really do respect how little Blur got involved in the verbal sparring.

Oashit and Blurgh are not two of them.

True. Some things are worth digging out though.

Some things are best left forgotten...

...and a live album, a remix album and so on.

This Is A Low. Won't ever be bettered.

They are a great singles band, Noel Gallagher has always made that point, and it's ironic that a lot of diehard Blur fans fave song never made it as a single - although it was pressed. They released End Of A Century instead, and they regretted it at the time.
