Celebrity Rap Superstar

Witness the ultimate rap battle as eight celebrities are given the chance to show off their skills on the mic and become hip-hop masters on Celebrity Rap Superstar, Thursday 28th February at 7pm on MTV Base.

Celebrities competing for the title of Celebrity Rap Superstar include actress Shar Jackson, better known as Kevin Federline’s ex girlfriend, Perez Hilton “the internet’s most devilish gossip columnist”, Playboy model Kendra Wilkinson,, one of Hugh Hefner’s live-in girlfriends and The Hills/Laguna Beach bad boy Jason Wahler.

The celebrities will each be given a hip-hop mentor to show them the ropes of rap. Imparting their knowledge and wisdom, the mentors are hip-hop royalty, the crem de la crem of the music industry including Redman, Warren G, Bubba Sparx and MC Lyte.

Over the course of eight weeks, each celebrity will learn their verses and practice their flow with their mentors. They will work on their lyrical delivery by performing classic hits and poppin' new tracks written just for them. Then, the pressure will be on as they stand in the spotlight to spit rhymes in front of a studio audience and an expert panel of judges made up of industry heavy hitters DMC (Run-DMC), rapper Da Brat and US radio personality Big Boy. Each week a celebrity will be voted out of the competition until one rap superstar reigns supreme.

Hosted by actor/comedian Kevin Hart and Liz Hernandez, Celebrity Rap Superstar has a talent lineup like no other. And if eight aspiring celebrity rappers, eight established hip-hop mentors and three respected judges weren't enough reason to watch, there will be plenty of surprise guests, behind-the-scenes battles, sensational showdowns and a never-ending supply of blunders and beef.
