
An incredible 2 Million people have downloaded Coldplay’s comeback single Violet Hill.
The track was released as a free gift to fans and was available from last Tuesday for a week.
Now the band’s management have revealed the massive download figure. In context they say it has sold over four times more than the entire UK Top 40 last week!
Violet Hill is the first chance to hear music from the band’s fourth album Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends which will be released June 12.
To coincide with the LP coming out Coldplay will put on two huge FREE shows in London and New York.
They play Brixton Academy on June 16 and Madison Square Garden on June 23.
Tickets will also be available via the band’s website nearer the time.

Their fourth release will stay constantly and forever in my playlist. It's beautiful when you know already from a new single also a new record from one of your favourite band is gonna survive the test of time.
Yeah, music is a matter of personal taste, sure, but as far as I'm concerned, Coldplay DO IT for me so well.
