Sean ‘John’ ‘Puffy’ ‘Diddy’ Combs has agreed to an out of court settlement in an alleged assault case.

Gerard Rechnitzer demanded damages after accusing the producer extraordinaire of assault and battery last year.

The incident took place outside a Hollywood nightclub after Diddy had attended a post Oscars’ party in February 2007.

Mr. Rechnitzer claimed that whilst he was attacked outside, his girlfriend was pushed and another female spat upon.

Last year Diddy’s lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, claimed that the accusations were "just another example of an opportunist seeking to fabricate a lawsuit based on a flat-out lie".

During the recent settlement Diddy explained that Mr Rechnitzer had lunged towards him and that "any contact" with him "was caused by his forward motion against my open hand"…
