MTV Base's hugely popular specialist strand DJ Takeover celebrates the multitude of genres within the urban music spectrum by hooking up with the cream of the UK's DJ talent to present the best in grime, reggae, hip-hop, neo-soul and dancehall.
A selection of the UK’s top radio DJs from Radio1, 1 Xtra, Kiss, Choice and Galaxy FM have all come in to take over the channel; putting the spotlight on artists such as Skepta, Bob Marley, Common, Jill Scott and Cham.
For an entire week one DJ shares their favourite videos from the past and present, anecdotes of how they relate to certain tracks, their memorable DJing moments and how the music has had an impact on their lives…
