23 Jump Street 'Already In Progress'
Writer hired for sequel to hit Channing Tatum And Jonah Hill comedy...
Work is already reported to be under way on a "threequel" to Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill's 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street.
Deadline has broken the story that Rodney Rothman has been hired by Sony Pictures and Original Film to pen the script for the next instalment of the action-comedy franchise.
The stars are apparently on board as producers, but it's not yet clear whether directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller will return to helm the new movie.
Released this summer, 22 Jump Street is claimed to have grossed $320 million for a modest (in Hollywood terms) budget of $50 million.
Channing Tatum has already graced MTV.co.uk this morning with a bold new method of greeting.
