Channing Tatum Just Revealed Who He Wants To Co-Star As Rogue In The X-Men Gambit Movie And It's Amazing
This changes EVERYTHING.
Channing Tatum just revealed to MTV who he wants to be cast as Rogue in his new X-Men movie. Tbh, it’s not who we were expecting.
"Why do you guys wanna know what's in the box before opening it up?" he asks before cheekily letting slip in the interview above.
Tatum will be starring as Gambit in his own standalone movie in 2016. Fans will know the character as not only the coolest X-Men member, but the one with the deep south Cajun accent who can control kinetic energy. Oh, and for his on-off relationship with Rogue.
So, naturally when we chatted with him recently about starring in Magic Mike XXL, we couldn’t help but ask if the streaky-haired mutant would be joining him in the new movie – and about who he wants to see take up the Rogue mantle.
Rogue was played by Anna Paquin in the first X-Men trilogy of films, and she joined again for the recent X-Men: Days of Future Past, though her scenes ended up cut from the movie and will now be seen for the first time on an extended DVD cut.
Still, we weren’t expecting Tatum to cast this actor as the new Rogue…
