Channing Tatum Plays A Seriously Mean Trick On His Daughter

We would probably cry too, tbh.

Everyone knows that Halloween is as much about tricks as it is treats, and it looks like Channing Tatum wasn't about to let his daughter get the goodies without a little prank this year. Because what else are dads for?

The prankstertotally tricked his 4-year-old daughter, Everly, into thinking he had eaten ALL her sweets, leading him to make an apology to her during his stint as a guest host on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Check out the latest from MTV News to see Demi Lovato's phenomenal Halloween costume...

After announcing he had asked Jimmy Kimmel to do the same mean thing to his kids, Channing introduced a home video of his little wind-up by saying: "If I'm asking you to do this to your kids I should probably do it to mine too. Here's how my daughter, Evy, took the news.."

It's safe to say that it did not go down well at all. After Channinglets her know "I'm sorry but I ate all your candy," the little one runs over to her mum/the camerawoman, Jenna Dewan, for consolation.

"I'm sorry but I just got so hungry," he says as his distraught daughter wraps her arms around her mum's legs.

Channing wasn't able to watch his daughter in such a state of despair for long, and soon tells her: "I'm kidding I didn't eat your candy," but Evy wasn't in the mood for lols.

"But that's not funny," she scolds him several times. Yeah dad, not cool.

Fortunately, the Magic Mike star saw the errors of his ways and made a very public apology to her: "That really was not funny. I'm so sorry baby, I hope you forgive me some day for that," he joked to the audience.

Well the whole thing was pretty unthinkable, and it will take A LOT of grovellingand a shopping spree or two, but we're sure someday she will find it in her heart to forgive Chan.

We're thinking double treats are in order for Evelyn next year.
