He accompanied the humorous image with the caption: "What better way to start writing #MagicMike2 than with my old friend Dallas?"
Last June, Channing hinted at directing Magic Mike 2, telling The Hollywood Reporter that his writing partner Reid Carolin could get behind the camera too, with the original film maker Steven Soderbergh on board as director of photography.
Tatum said at the time: "Either Reid Carolin and I will direct it together, or we'll have Greg Jacobs direct. He worked as a producer on the [first] movie and has been Steven's right-hand man for almost 25 movies.
"Right now, we're just trying to clean up the story, and then we'll make a decision. But it is hard for me and Reid to direct after one of the greatest directors of our time. Steven has argued [for us to do so]. He has said he would shoot it; he would DP it."
While the 33-year old hunk may have started work on Magic Mike 2, he recently admitted that he won't be taking his clothes off anytime soon after losing his six pack!
Channing told Ellen DeGeneres: "Right now - what me and my wife like to call it, I am very 'fappy.' I'm very fat and happy right now ... I've been working for two straight years, and now it's some really needed downtime."
