Channing Tatum To Saddle Up For Tarantino Western?

Hollywood's hottest hunk reportedly in talks for The Hateful Eight...

With filming on Magic Mike XXL now finished, Channing Tatum might want to see if he can grab one of Matthew McConaughey's old cowboy hats from the wardrobe department.

The 34-year-old star is reported by Deadline to be considering a "major role" in Quentin Tarantino's next movie - a western called The Hateful Eight.

Tatum is already getting Oscar buzz for his role in Foxcatcher and is now said to be in talks for another serious role in the film, which apparently sees two bounty hunters seeking shelter from a blizzard in post-Civil War Wyoming.

Filming is set to get under way on Tarantino's follow-up to Django Unchained early next year, with the cast already including Samuel L Jackson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, Kurt Russell and Tim Roth.

But the film nearly didn't happen at all, with QT apparently feeling so betrayed after a script leak that he wanted to pull the plug on the entire project.
