Fox Reveals Release Date For Channing Tatum's Gambit Movie

X-Men spin-off is set to hit cinemas next autumn...

Those of you champing at the bit to see Channing Tatum playing X-Men mutant Gambit have now got a date to put in your diaries.

But you'll have to buy a diary for 2016 first (or y'know, just use your phone), because the movie is set to arrive in cinemas on 7 October next year.

20th Century Fox has shared the release dates for a number of new movies, with more superhero action coming on 2 June, 2017, in the form of a sequel to the studio's Fantastic Four reboot.

And the big-screen adaptation of hit videogame Assassin's Creed has got a new release date of 21 December, 2016 - having previously been scheduled for this summer.

Tatum has previously told MTV: "I don't want to give too much away because we don't know that much right now other than who Gambit is.

"We really do want to try our hardest to give something fresh."
