Relax, Channing Tatum Probably HASN'T Quit Gambit After All

New reports claim star has ironed out differences with Fox...

There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth when it was reported last week that Channing Tatum had pulled out of a planned role as marvel superhero Gambit.

The Hollywood hunk was claimed to have mysteriously exited from Fox's planned standalone movie for the Cajun mutant - however it seems the reports may have been premature.

Now The Hollywood Reporter claims that Tatum and the studio have ironed out their differences and closed the deal.

The sticking points are said to have been the extent of his involvement in other movies set in the Marvel Comics universe and the size of his "back end".

As one of the hottest stars in the biz, he's likely to have a hectic shooting schedule over the coming years (did someone say "Ghostbusters"?) - so may have been wary of over-committing to Gambit.

The "back end" refers to the proportion of the movie's net profits that a star is awarded as a sweetener to get them on board.

We're sorry if the latter explanation was a disappointment.
