Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby is NOT about to marry boyfriend Mitch Jenkins just yet.

Last night (March 4), the excitable North-East lass took to Twitter to announce her happy ‘news’, writing: "OMG I SAID YES,” which was followed by an engagement ring and a wedding dress emoji.

Mitch himself also tweeted about popping the question, putting his own spin on the engagement, posting:"Only gone and got me self a ball and chain."

Following messages of congratulations from the likes of ex-TOWIE star Sam Faiers, Luisa Zissman and her Geordie Shore co-stars Ricci Guarnaccio and James Tindale, Charlotte has since returned to the social-networking site to set the record straight… it was all a prank!

Former Geordie Shore lass Sophie Kasaei was the first to rubbish the claims, retweeting the engagement post, along with the comment: “MITCH GET OFF CHARLOTTES TWITTER THIS IS NOT FUNNY."

Charlotte herself then wrote: “Soooooooooooo don't ever let you Boyfriend get your phone when your drunk. I'm not engaged and believe me he will be punished today."
