Alexandra Burke Stays Top

Alexandra Burke has topped the first UK singles chart of 2009 with her massive single Hallelujah.

 

The track has now held onto the top spot for three weeks while Take Thats The Circus is still at number one in the album chart.

 

In the singles countdown Leona Lewis's cover of Snow Patrols Run is at number 2 while hotly tipped electro popster Lady GaGa has a new entry at 3 with Just Dance.

 

Kings Of Leon, Duffy, Leona and The Killers complete the album Top 5.

 

January is traditionally a quiet time for new music releases so expect these same names to dominate the charts for a few weeks to come!
