Cher Lloyd Duets With Busta Rhymes
Rap heavyweight to appear on the X Factor runner-up’s debut album…
According to reports, the Will.I.Am is already involved with the LP, and feelers have been put out for Rihanna, Britney Spears. Producers include RedOne and The Runners, and recording sessions have taken place in LA and Miami. "We are exploring exciting collaborations,” Cher’s spokesperson confirmed.
The X Factor finalist played a few tracks to Wonderland magazine during a recent interview, and they went on to describe her material as having “furious energy”. “Yes, she's still rapping – faster and more aggressively – and she's fed in a lot of urban influences: some tracks have a southern stride, some take cues from UK hip-hop – one even has a huge, squelchy dubstep bassline.
"But it's all got kind of ingenious, princessy pop edge – think of soaring chorus, petulant spoken asides and single refrains that hark back to the rhythm and melodies of nursery rhymes."
The pint-sized star recently put out an open call for dancers for her first music video. A message on Cher's website stated that she was looking for dancers with "enough swagger to be in a music video and the passion and talent for street and contemporary dance". Auditions start this week.
