Cheryl Calls Now Mag 'F***ing Liars' After MC Harvey Apology
Hoaxer sent So Solid star emails pretending to be Chez...
Cole later took legal action against the publication, with it now emerging that the messages Harvey had apparently received from Cheryl were "not genuine" and were in fact from a hoaxer who "went to great lengths to deceive" Harvey into thinking he was chatting to Chez.
Now has since published an apology to Cheryl in the latest issue of the mag, stating it has agreed to pay damages and legal costs to the Call My Name singer.
Their statement read: "In an article last February we said that Cheryl Cole had had a secret romantic relationship with Michael Harvey Jr, aka MC Harvey, formerly of the group So Solid Crew.
"When Cheryl went to Twitter to deny this we published a second article saying we'd seen emails that evidenced there had been a relationship. Although we had seen several hundred emails, written over a six-month period, apparently between Cheryl, her mother and Michael, we are now satisfied that the emails from Cheryl and her mother are not genuine."
Now continued: "They appear to be the work of a calculated and meticulous hoaxer masquerading as Cheryl who went to great lengths to deceive MC Harvey. The hoaxer's motives remain unknown but what has become clear is that there was never any relationship between Cheryl and Michael and we were wrong not to accept Cheryl's denial.
"We're sorry, Cheryl, for any embarrassment and upset we have caused you. We have agreed to pay Cheryl damages and her legal costs."
The 29-year old has since reacted to the news on Twitter, with Cheryl branding the publication "f***ing liars."
Chezza tweeted: "#nowmagazine #expensivelies #muggedoff #whohaseggontheirface?"
She then uploaded a snap of the apology and added: "Here you go.. #apology and I am now satisfied that you are F***ING LIARS!!!!!"
Cole added: "Turns out [Girls Aloud bandmate] @nicolaroberts was right #idontdoemailsidophonesex lolololol!!!"
Harvey has since issued a reply to Cheryl, writing on Twitter: "Oh know I got twelve year old pop fans playing Internet gangsters what should I do. Soldiers my arse UNO brainwashed (sic).
"@cherylcole thanks for agreeing a settlement...Good thing you got money to protect your arse #fakearsepopsinger. Come to the surface don't hide behind Russell's lawyers. Your fans talk alot you don't.
