Cheryl Cole is reportedly already "homesick" in Los Angeles, despite only Girls Aloudsinger also allegedly insisted that she only wants to stay in places that look like her home back in the UK so she doesn't feel "too displaced."
An insider told the tabloid: "Cheryl was missing Joan just a few hours after she landed."
"She reckons it will need visits from her mum at least every fortnight and she will try to fly home every other week – even if just for a couple of days."

They continued: "She asks that every room she stays in has similar furnishings and pictures so she doesn't feel too displaced."

"Derek bought her some Haribo the other day and she said even they tasted different, so she's planning on getting her favourite sweets posted over."

During her stay Stateside, Chezza is said to be "in talks" with Fox bosses Simon Cowell's aide, much like Sinitta did for the UK shows.

A source told the newspaper: "Simon really wanted Cheryl on the panel with him but it’s been an unwinnable battle. People just don’t know who she is over there and people struggle to understand what she’s saying."

"Simon is consoling her with the offer of helping him win the first series, which would give her profile a massive boost. The fact is she’s got a decision to make."
The 'friend' added: "Simon Cowell is still one of her biggest supporters. But even though the X Factor is his idea it's the executives at Fox who have the ultimate say over the make-up of the show. Cheryl hasn’t heard or seen him since she arrived."

The news comes after reports suggesting that Cole was "reluctant" to ditch her Geordie twang for a job on the American XF, regardless of rumours saying she has hired a LA vocal coach to "tone down" her North-East accent.
