Far East Movement have leapt into to action to deny rumours they said Lil Wayne was working with gorgeous Geordie, Cheryl Cole.
Earlier this week, the Daily Star reported that the electro-pop group suggested Chezza had teamed-up with the Young Money rapper, telling the tabloid: "We've just been working with Will.I.am and Lil Wayne and this new singer - how do you say her name? - Cheryl Cole?"
However, the Like A G6 hitmakers have claimed they were "misquoted" by the reports, stating that while the Girls Aloud star hasn't collaborated with Weezy, she has been in the studio with themselves and her manager, Will.I.Am.
In a post on their official blog, the Far East Movement gang wrote: "[We] read somewhere people wrote we said we got on the studio with the singer Cheryl Cole and Lil Wayne? too funny how things get mis -quoted HAHA (sic)."
They added: "All good tho, so u hear it from us... never said Cheryl Cole and Lil Wayne were working together... we was in the studio with the fam Will.i.am n Cheryl in the UK ... and separately we are on tour with Lil Wayne in the US."
Cheryl has apparently already started recording her third studio LP in Los Angeles, with Black Eyed Peas star Will previously claiming he has lined up some "killer collaborations" for her record.
