Cheryl Cole reportedly wants to quit the UK and flee to America with rumoured boyfriend Ashley Cole.
Despite Girls Aloud star had been meeting with Ashley in secret, despite the fact that Cheryl has denied having contact with her former beau.
Pals close to the Parachute hitmaker have now revealed that Chez is "desperate" to move to the US to get away from Cole, amid reports that she was "turning to Ashley" for support over her potential job on the American XF.
An insider told the mag: "She said Ashley is a constant shadow over her and she needs to leave the UK to get some head space. Cheryl is coming to the US whether she gets the X Factor gig or not."

"She’s done with England and all the furore surrounding Ashley. Her divorce has been finalised, but she still feels like she can’t get away from him."
Following reports that Hough wanted to "punch Ashley's lights out" after news of his persistence with Cheryl, the source continued: "Derek was really hurt and angry when he read the stories."
"He was gutted and admitted he sees Ashley as a real threat. But Cheryl said if they had met, there would be pictures to prove it and reassured him she wouldn’t get back with Ashley in a million years."

They added: “She was very hurt that she and Ashley were front-page news again and knew straight away Derek would be furious. It reinforced how much she needs to flee the UK and all the rumours.”
Despite Cheryl's plans to leave Blighty for America, reports have also suggested that Ashley is doing his best to convince her to stay in the UK.
According to Grazia magazine, Cole has planned to send the 27-year old singer a Union Jack leather jacket on Valentines Day to "help persuade" Chezza not to move Stateside.

A source told the publication: "He thinks she’s insane to quit the country. Ashley keeps telling her that she’ll lose herself in America.”
