Chezza's publicist has insisted the star did NOT mime on the BBC1 series...

Representatives forCheryl Cole have denied reports suggesting the Geordie babe lip-synched during her performance onThe Voicesemi-final on Saturday (26th May).
The Girls Aloudstar took to the stage to perform her new single Call My Name, with The Sun reporting over the weekend that Chezza had vowed to sing live after causing controversy on The X Factor in 2010 after [uuid=c1a359cf-f810-4dcf-8cbf-6a5c7c2c1707]miming through track, Promise This[/uuid].
A source told the tabloid: "Since then Cheryl has been working really hard on her vocals. Now she wants to sing live and prove herself as a professional.

"Everyone is supportive of her wish to sing live but just like when she was on The X Factor, her performance will be pre-recorded so there is a big safety net there. The show is called The Voice - the singing that they broadcast needs to be perfect."
According to The Sun, Cole was accused of miming again on the BBC1 show, leaving viewers to complain. A source explained: "It would have been hard for Cheryl to have sung through the whole performance - it was such an energetic dance routine.
"But I'm sure people will be disappointed if they expected her to sing throughout."
However, Cheryl's publicist has insisted the 28-year old star did NOT lip-synch telling the newspaper: "She sang live with a backing track."

The Fight For This Love singer's performance on The Voice saw Cheryl launch into a 10ft swan dive, where she was caught by her hunky male dancers.

Despite Cole debuting her new single on The Voice, the ratings for the series have dropped again, with just 5.1million tuning in to watch the semi-finals compared to 11.8million at its peak last month.
