Cheryl Cole 'Terrified' Of X Factor Live Shows
While TV critics claim she isn't right for US XF as no one knows who she is...
Cheryl Cole is reportedly 'terrified' of returning toGirls Aloud singer, who has Pussycat Dolls star, Nicole Scherzinger, proved to be a hit with Simon Cowell and the public in her absence.
They added: “Cheryl understandably got used to being the X Factor darling, but she has lost loads of confidence after all the fanfare which surrounded Nicole."
“Everyone was publicly saying how much they adored Nicole – including Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh. It’s been chipping away at her self-image and she is scared the viewing public might also prefer Nicole to her now.”
Meanwhile, despite reports that Cheryl is joining the US XF panel, an American TV analyst has told Heat magazine that it may be a bold move giving her the coveted job, as no one Stateside knows who she is.
Mediaweek's Marc Berman told the publication: "People will certainly be wondering who [Cheryl] is."
"Nicole's very popular here. She did extremely well on Dancing With The Stars and people liked that she was real and showed her vulnerable side. She's very natural, enthusiastic and very animated."
He added: "American viewers like outspokenness and animation. You don't want to be too aloof and detached. You want to bring something that the audience can relate to; they want to trust you."
Cole has previously claimed that if she did take her seat on the American X Factor judging panel she would not lose her Geordie accent, regardless of fears whether people would be able to understand her.
