Cheryl Cole appears to be dropping the surname that she gained from her marriage to ex-hubby Ashley Cole.

The pop star and TV personality stunned us today with the news that she has tied the knot with her French BF Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

And after confirming the news via Instagram, she has taken to Twitter to thanks well wishers and to change her username.

Previously known as CherylCole on the website, she is now using an account with the name CherylOfficial.

She wrote: "Thank you for all your kind messages and well wishes"

Chezza has been known by her ex-husband's surname since they married in 2006 - despite their divorce going through in 2010.
