Cheryl Cole 'To Finalise Ashley Divorce Within Days'

The Daily Star have claimed Cheryl Cole is set to fast-track her divorce from hubby Ashley, believing that the proceedings represent "the final major obstacle to her recovery (from Malaria)".

According to the newspaper, the singer is just two weeks away from finalising the divorce with the love-rat Chelsea and England footballer.

Cheryl first started divorce proceedings in May but became to frail to sign the papers after contracting malaria in Tanzania during a trip with dancer Derek Hough.

Now she's seemingly recovering from the tropical disease, having been spotted taking part in a 60-minute intensive yoga session while in Los Angeles, concluding divorce proceedings has become Cheryl's priority.

A source told the Daily Star: “Cheryl feels that finally becoming free of her marriage ties will be the tonic she needs to complete her recovery.



“The stress of her break-up and divorce proceedings hasn’t helped her recovery. Now she’s over the worst, all Cheryl wants to do is get her divorce and move on in life.



"Cheryl’s getting near to being fully fit again and feels there’s one major obstacle to her recovery - finally kicking Ashley into touch."

The source added: “She was naturally unable to sort out her divorce stuff while she was seriously ill. Now she is keen to bring her marriage to Ashley to a close and he feels the same. Neither wants to drag things out."

Cole is not hanging onto the past however, and instead seems to be looking to her future:



"She wants to look forward, not back," the source said. "And that means finding a new man and eventually becoming a mum.”
