Cheryl Cole's New Tattoo Took 11 Hours To Complete
The design is thought to represent her independence from Ashley Cole...
Cheryl Cole's latest tattoo is said to have taken a whopping eleven hours to complete.
The X Factor judge reportedly only had a break from the tattoo etching to get a sandwich and did not cry once throughout the eleven hour session at LA's Shamrock Social Club last August.
It is thought Cheryl herself designed the 13inch ink and had her new boyfriend Derek Hough by her side for most of the procedure.
When speaking of her new design to a pal, Cole is said to have claimed: "The tattoo is deeply personal. It took weeks to come up with the final design."
“It has a strong symbolic meaning and signifies a fresh start and my new independence."
She added: “The sitting itself was pretty painful but I was determined to get it done in one hit. I didn’t cry once!”
It is thought the Promise This hitmaker decided to show off her tattoo at the NTAs earlier this week as the design had finally healed.
As well as her new tattoo, the 27-year old also has six other designs including her infamous Mrs C inking and a barbed wire tatt on her right thigh.
