It seems Cheryl Cole won't be stepping into Oprah Winfrey's shoes just yet, as Sky have denied rumours linking the Geordie to her own chat show.
Last week, The Daily Star claimed that the broadcaster were "desperate" to sign-up the Girls Aloud star, with an insider telling the tabloid: "They’ve been in talks for a while and believe they will have wrapped up the deal within the next month.
“They think she could be the UK’s Oprah because of her reputation as the nation’s sweet-heart and are willing to pay big bucks to get her on board."
The source added: "They want the show to be emotional and confessional, not just another run-of-the-mill celebrity show.”
However, a representative for Sky1 has since quashed the reports, telling Vogue's website: "Cheryl is a great talent and we are fans of her here at Sky. But we do not have anything planned at the moment.”
