Cheryl Cole has said she would “love to do” a solo live tour, after last night performing her song Promise This for the first time on The X Factor.

Chezza has previously toured as a support act with Black Eyed Peas but never played her own shows.

Last night she admitted she was terrified before hitting the stage and miming to a live recorded track.

She told the Metro newspaper: “I feel like I’m going from two people – from mentor and judge to pop star. So I need to get myself in the mind-frame. I’ve only just started practising this week – terrified.”

The performance, plus Bublé and John getting the boot, got a ratings peak of 15 million last night.

This weekend Cheryl gave interviews to pretty much every newspaper going, telling The Guardian she won’t remove her Mrs C tattoo, despite splitting from Ashley Cole.

She said: “No, I'm not ashamed of anything. I've got nothing to rub away... I don't feel sentimental about the name.”
