Cheryl Paid £1.2M To Keep Her Silence
She’ll get her full X Factor USA salary if she doesn’t speak out…
The Mirror states that the star will receive her full salary of £1.2m for just four days work, as long as she doesn’t speak out about her dismissal.
It will mean Cheryl will have earned around £25,000 an hour, but the Simon Cowellin public, or elaborate on what went wrong.
A source told the tabloid: “Cheryl is going to be paid off if things go to plan. The last thing we need is someone with an axe to grind saying bad things about the show before it even starts.
“We hope a simple statement can be released next week and that will be the end of it,” the insider continued. “It’s is an incredible amount of money for four days’ work, but this is a multi-million dollar show with so much invested, it will be worth it. If she takes the money she is effectively agreeing to a gag.”
But first Chezza must apply for her US work visa at the American embassy in London. Without it, the show’s producers, Fremantle, won't pay her. According to The Sun, X Factor bosses have asked the 27-year-old to sort out her visa as soon as possible so they can pay her and put the whole affair behind them.
