Cheryl Cole has revealed that she was furious at "gutless" Simon Cowell after being ousted from The X Factor USA.

In her autobiography, currently being serialised in The Sun, the Girls Aloud star admitted she came to "hate" the TV mogul [uuid=86aa912e-2045-45b6-a7b9-5475266eb1e9]over the snub[/uuid].

She wrote: "[Cowell] didn't even have the guts to phone or send a message warning me what was coming.

"I was furious with Simon for letting it happen like this. I believed we had a good friendship and I couldn't understand why he just hadn't been straight with me."

Chezza explained that she sent SiCo an expletive-ridden text - and told him: "I hate you.

"I understand you're a businessman, and what I've learned from this is that business means more to you than our friendship."

Despite losing respect for Simon, Cheryl has since confirmed they are now "frenemies" - but insisted her [uuid=e29c38c1-a19c-44ff-b572-dafb6788bed7]recent return[/uuid] to The X Factor was for her friend Gary Barlow and not Mr Cowell.
