Cheryl Cole is apparently gearing up to return to The X Factor in a bid to boost ratings.
As we previously reported, Chezza was said to have met up with Simon Cowell at his LA home last week to discuss her comeback to the ITV1 show - with The Mirror now suggesting that the pair had "verbally agreed" to work together again.
The Girls Aloud star's manager, Will.I.Am, was also overheard telling guests at a gala in London on Saturday (8th December): "It’s going to be dope.”
A source added: "Cheryl is coming back on TV in 2013 and will be working with Simon. People love to watch her. She was with X Factor at its peak."
The Call My Name singer's apparent return means that Tulisa could be facing the boot following Nicole Scherzinger's success in her first year as a judge on the UK show.
The newspaper claims that Gary Barlow may also jump ship, and that SiCo is still yet to decide the fate of Louis Walsh - who he may keep to be his "eyes and ears" on the panel.
The insider stated: “There are going to be the biggest changes ever on the show. We have to respond to the drop in ratings and level of interest."
This year's X Factor final on Saturday is thought to have accumulated the lowest ratings since 2005.
James Arthur was last night crowned the winner, beating Jahmene Douglas to the title, with Cheryl later giving him her seal of approval, tweeting: "Congratulations James Arthur, true talent!!"
