Cheryl's Charity Performance Hit By Technical Issues

Mic fail leaves singer inaudible in Stand Up To Cancer TV fundraiser...

Cheryl Cole's live Stand Up To Cancer performance was hit by technical problems that meant fans were unable to hear her voice.

The 29-year-old singer opened the star-studded TV charity fundraiser last night (19 October) with a rendition of Call My Name but her microphone appeared to fail, leaving her vocals inaudible for much of the song.

The track was already halfway through by the time the technical issues were sorted out, but Chezza's dance routine was flawless as she carried on like a true pro.

Some Twitter users suggested the Under The Sun hitmaker was miming, but according to Digital Spy, Cheryl responded via WhoSay, writing: "I really dn't feel upset abt the tec issues during my performance and chat (sic)."

She added: "I just hope every1 commenting on it has done their part 4 the cause."

A spokesperson for Channel 4 later told MailOnline: "Unfortunately with the nature of live TV you sometimes have glitches and this was the case with Cheryl's mic in the opening number and was rectified as soon as possible."

Having just wrapped up her own solo UK tour, Chezza will be hitting the road again next year for the Girls Aloud reunion.
