She will become the highest paid woman on UK telly…
ITV bosses have reportedly offered to double Cheryl Cole’spay if she agrees to return to The X Factor.
They are obviously keen to keep the Geordie star amid speculation that Simon Cowellwill not be returning to the UK series. A massive salary hike would also allow Cheryl to save face if she doesn’t win a spot on The X Factor USAjudging panel.
The pay rise would make her the highest paid woman on UK television, The Sun reports. A source said: “Cheryl is being tempted with a bigger salary and if she takes it then it won't look like she's failed in the US. ITV are in turmoil about the UK version as everything is still up in the air.
“They know by keeping Cheryl half of their problems will be solved. She's still the biggest advertising draw. But, of course, if she does get the US job she'll take it like a shot.”
Simon is yet to make an announcement as to the final judging line-up for The X Factor USA, but the latest names in the frame include Fergie and Nicki Minaj.
