Louis And Cheryl Call A 'Truce'

Cheryl tweets text from Louis Walsh after week-long feud...

After a week of well-publicised sniping, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh appear to have called a truce.

Cheryl kicked the war of words off last week by declaring that [uuid=885e875c-49be-45fc-bdaf-0c0686b7ed7c]Louis had "zero involvement"[/uuid] in Girls Aloud's success.

Then came the reports that Louis had [uuid=1a1f59d5-3a6d-4919-867a-4ba6fb4c5464]called time on their friendship[/uuid], claiming he would happily "give her a piece of my mind".

Yesterday he did just that, [uuid=0bf71368-7389-411b-8f08-31da4636cb3e]stoking up the feud[/uuid] with a Heat magazine interview in which he suggested "clotheshorse" Cheryl should consider "vocal lessons".

Now it seems Mr Walsh has had a change of heart.

Last night Cheryl tweeted fans to say: "Spoke to Mr Walsh.. And he asked me to post his text as he does NOT have twitter...

"Hello, Cheryl !! Princess of pop and biggest hair in the land!!!! Let's call a truce to all this stuff in the press and things that happened 10 years ago!!

"We always had fun on the x factor and I always defended u against the wicked cowell!! Life is too short u and I always said !! I'm looking forward to your new music and think u shud come on the xfactor live show to perform !!!!

"Keep smiling !!!! Louis Walsh still on x factor !!! !! P.S are they really your eyelashes?!! LOL xxxxx."

It could be the shortest celebrity feud in history... just how long the truce will last, however, remains to be seen.
