More pictures of Cheryl Cole visiting the Rovers Return have been released in advance of the pop star's appearance on Coronation Streetfor Text Santa.

Chezza makes a special appearance in the long-running ITV soap as part of the charity appeal - where she plays a friend of barmaid Tina McIntyre (Keegan) who drops in to try to lure her back to Geordieland.

Keegan said: "They say never meet your idols but she was amazing. She is such a huge Corrie fan and she was genuinely pleased to be filming with us.

"I sat and chatted with her for ages which was lovely. She didn't need any tips from us all though, she was really good, a natural.

"She knew all her lines and she seemed to really enjoy herself."

The special scene will be shown as part of Text Santa this Friday evening on ITV1.
