Cheryl Fernandez Versini Wants Body Shaming To Be Made Illegal

The X Factor judge wants to help others in her situation.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is often the subject of very public conversations regarding her weight, and it sounds like she's had enough.

Having recently spoke about the hate she receives over her slim figure, Cheryl's opened up again and this time wants something to be done about body shaming.

Body shaming has to stop," she toldES Magazine. "Something has to be done, changed, even if it's done in law."

"I am very happy and very healthy. Every woman has a different body type and handles stress and grief differently," she continued. "I was a ballerina from a child, so I have really good muscle memory. When I work out, I can look like a tennis player. If I don't, I look different."

But she's not doing it just for her, seeing as she's been somewhat forced to grow thick skin over the years.

"The thing for me is that I've been doing this for 13 years now and I can take it," she said during a chat with Newsbeat.

Adding: "But it's the people going through the same thing as me, you know, young girls, they shouldn't be having it."

Go Cheryl, we've totally got your back!
