Cheryl Talks ‘Love Made Me Do It’ & Being Back In Front Of The Camera After So Long In MTV Laid Bare
The queen of pop is back and we needed her now more than ever.
Cheryl is finally back and we really didn’t realise how much we missed her. Giving us the ultimate feel good bop of the year with ‘Love Made Me Do It’, a fiery and ‘I don’t give a f*ck’ outlook on failed relationships, we couldn’t help but become immediately obsessed with her new sound.
It’s SO good in fact, that we had to nab some time with her to breakdown the video and the work that went into shooting something so dynamic.
Hit the video below to watch Cheryl talk insane choreography (and even being temporarily blind in some scenes) to everything she’s learned from years in the industry…!

“It’s really good to be back in front of the camera after such a long time,” Cheryl tells us. “I was refreshed and ready to perform again, and I actually enjoyed it this time more.”
Talking about the process of shooting music videos in the past, Cheryl adds: “There’s been times in the past where like, I’ve had shows on for hours and hours. I remember doing video shoots before for literally 24 hours, and when you’ve been there, it doesn’t ever get worse than that.”
But this time was different, she explains: “I really had fun, I enjoyed the process this time. The director, Sophie Muller, I’ve worked with her before. She did two videos for me previously, she did 'The Flood' and 'Promise This'. So, I knew I was in safe hands and that made it even easier to do.”
But it wasn’t all easy to shoot, Cheryl explains: “There was another part where I was on a catwalk, and there was lights in me eyes, lights on the floor of the catwalk, and I had heels on like pins… that was not fun. I couldn’t see, I couldn’t walk - I could just try. That bit was hard.”
Well we’re SUPER proud of this girl and are obsessed with the music video. BRB. Learning the choreography and ordering some 10 inch heels.
