Chris Brown has had his probation revoked in relation to his infamous assault on Rihanna following a hit-and-run charge.
Breezy could face up to four years in jail after the Los Angeles District Attorney filed legal documents on Monday (July 15), with the judge who ruled over Brown's 2009 conviction seeking to revoke the R&B bad boy's probation.
He claims that Brown broke the law "willfully and unlawfully" during a hit-and-run incident in May 2013.
Brown received a sentence of five years' probation after he assaulted RiRi before the Grammy Awards in 2009.
The D.A. is pursuing him for a violation after he reportedly left the scene of a car accident in May without providing a California driver's license and insurance information to the other driver.
Meanwhile, Brown has insisted upon his innocence, tweeting back in June :"It's not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous."
A few minutes later, he suggested that the other driver was being opportunistic, tweeting: "She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures."
Earlier today, TMZ reported that even the other driver's lawyer will make a court appearance to support Brown, saying he did in fact provide the correct information.
But if lawyers are unsuccessful in demonstrating that he followed the law, Brown may face as much as four years of prison time. Until a hearing on August 18, however, Brown will remain released on his own recognisance.
I did everything I was suppose to do during the so called hit n run, I provided the correct info. There were no injuries or damages. C'mon!!

Following the hearing, the singer continued to protest his innocence on Twitter, writing: "I did everything I was suppose to do during the so called hit n run, I provided the correct info. There were no injuries or damages. C'mon!!"
He then sent a shout-out to his fans, with a note of optimism that he will be acquitted, stating: "Love you Team Breezy. I hope people can actually see the truth."
