Chris Brown: How Come Jay-Z Gets A Pass?
Breezy suggests it's unfair that he's still tarnished by Rihanna attack...
Chris Brown has complained about his public image - pointing out that rapper Jay-Z "gets a pass" for his shady past.
Breezy notoriously beat up ex-GF Rihanna back in 2009, and is obviously aggrieved that he is still criticised for it.
He told Jet magazine: "No disrespect, because I'm a fan, but nobody brings up the fact that [Jay Z] stabbed somebody and sold drugs. He gets a pass."
Jay-Z admitted stabbing record exec Lance 'Un' Rivera outside a nightclub in NYC in 1999 and has previously confessed that he sold crack at the age of 13.
And on his own anger issues, Breezy added: "You have to go through the struggle before you can get to the good part. I don't try to lash out at people, or be as mad or impulsive as I used to be.
"I got to the point where it's only so much you can take from the master, you feel me? I've taken my fair share of lashings."
He also got political during the interview, giving his two cents on the Trayvon Martin case and the racism it had highlighted in the US.
"I identify with Trayvon 100 per cent as far as living in 2013 and still dealing with blatant racism. This generation is so used to racism that it's normal; we don't care. We aren't on drugs or catching AIDS, but they still look at us as n***as."
