Despite winning the Viewers' Choice gong, Chris nearly lost out to his ex-girlfriendRihanna, who was awarded the statuette by mistake, after a problem with the show's digital winners envelopes.
A fan who had been chosen to read out the winner accidentally awarded it to RiRi, with rappeTinie Tempah, who picked up the International UK Act accolade.
