Chris Brown’s Apology Over Rihanna

The singer says he is sorry and saddened by his alleged assault on Rihanna

Chris Brown has issued a statement a week after his arrest for an alleged assault on girlfriend Rihanna.

The Forever singer said: "Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired."

He continued: "I am seeking the counselling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person."

Issued through 'Associated Press' the statement added: "I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds."

Chris has so far been booked only for making criminal threats and released on a $50,000 bail.

In other developments Rihannas father told 'People' magazine that his daughter has not split up from Brown.
