Howard, who directed 30-year-old Chris in Rush, tweeted: "Gr8 to work w/Chris again- here he is about to rehearse on deck 4 In the Heart of the Sea."
The movie is based on a novel about the loss of a whaling ship in 1820 after it was attacked by a sperm whale.
