Chris Hemsworth has teased that Thor: Ragnarok will be a "big" continuation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

[related]Despite screenwriters Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost not having delivered a script for the sequel yet, the actor assured Digital Spy that the movie won’t disappoint fans.

Ragnarok, which means "Fate of the Gods" or "Twilight of the Gods", is a North myth that describes the destruction of the universe and the death of the gods.

Hemsworth reprises his role as Thor, the God of Thunder, with Tom Hiddleston returning as Loki.

Thor: Ragnarok will open in cinemas on 28 July 28, 2017.

Can’t wait that long for your next Hemsworth fix? The hero will also show up in this year's Avengers: Age of Ultron, which premieres in cinemas this April.

The actor can next be seen in Michael Mann's hacking thriller Blackhat, which opens on 20 February in the UK.
