Chris Hemsworth To Present Oscar Nominations
The highly anticipated shortlist comes out next week...
Chris Hemsworth will present the Oscar nominations next week in Los Angeles.
The Thor hunk will announce the list of actors, directors and films nominated for the prestigous award on Thursday, 16th January.
He will be joined by Cheryl Boone Isaacs, president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The Academy is the body responsible for selecting and voting for both the nominees and the eventual award winners.
Leonardo DiCaprio’s Wolf of Wall Street is predicted to do well in the Best Picture category while 12 Years A Slave and Lee Daniels’ The Butler are also rumoured to be strong candidates.
Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence could also be looking at a second Oscar with insiders certain she’ll be nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in American Hustle while Cate Blanchett is a hot contender for Best Actress.
Ellen DeGeneres will present the star-studded show this year after last year’s host, Family Guy creator Seth Macfarlane, declined to return.
The Oscars air on Sunday, 2nd March.
