As if we could be more confused about what’s going on with Love Island’s Chris Hughes and Olivia Attwood, he’s gone and thrown another curveball.

After months of split speculation, public rows and flirty messages with Katie Price, the pair called it quits, seven months after leaving the reality show they met on.

But on Mother’s Day, Chris posted a collage of the ex-couple with their fake baby from the island, Cash Hughes, along with the caption: “Happy Mothers Day Olivia; keep smiling Doll, never let that tiara slip (sic).”

Fans rushed to ask Chris if the on/off couple were back together but he was quick to say that they weren’t.

He wrote in the comments: “Listen, we aren’t together, but I still support her like I would have before. If things change, things change. Time will tell. There’s no malice or hate, that doesn’t always have to happen when people split, you know. We had a rollercoaster ride, and she deserves recognition.”

Viewers of the pair’s reality show Chris and Oliva: Crackin’ On have been witness to the break down of their relationship as the pair moved into a five-bedroom mansion and broke things off on camera, during the first episode.

It all went wrong when, after months of fights, the couple admitted they were at breaking point. The final straw came when Olivia stayed at a friend’s house after a party and Chris called her mum to say she had gone “off the rails.”

So we’re a little confused about the Insta post, not even because that doll is a doll and not a real human. But mostly cos what the frick is happening?
